Louisiana Family Church Celebrates Christmas Early

On December 19, 2015, Unificationists in Laplace, Louisiana held their 4th Annual Christmas Social with friends and families of the Louisiana Family Church.

In his welcoming remarks, Pastor John A. Monestere explained the true meaning of Christmas according to the Bible, starting with the well-known scripture from John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in his should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Rev. Monestere also expressed that God’s love is truly unconditional, not dependent on who we are, what we look like or even what religion we practice. His message set the tone for an embracing family evening.

After a prayer, the congregation shared wonderful food, entertainment, karaoke and a photo slideshow. They recognized recent birthdays and graduations, and also wished well to a soldier being deployed to Kuwait. Everyone had a wonderful time together in a loving family atmosphere.

“Each year has been a unique and special event with new friends and families joining the Louisiana Family Church in the true spirit of Christmas as one family under God,” said Rev. Monestere.
