In a collaboration with the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) and Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU), the New York and New Jersey Latino Ministries hosted a prayer brunch on Saturday, December 14 at the New Yorker hotel in Manhattan.
More than 100 Christian clergy, Unificationists and guests gathered in preparation for the massive Peace Starts With Me Clergy Rally on December 28, where 30,000 clergy will welcome the Mother of Peace, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, co-founder of FFWPU, and attend the launching of the World Clergy Leadership Conference (WCLC).
The prayer brunch featured a number of inspirational speakers, including Rev. Otoniel Jimenez, pastor of Iglesia Trinidad de Dios (Holy Trinity Church), who presented on the significance of the Marriage Blessing, and Pastor Manuel Feliz, who spoke about finding peace in Christ. Others in attendance included Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, regional chairman of Family Federation North America, Dr. Luonne Rouse, co-chairman of ACLC, Rev. Bruce Grodner, ACLC national executive director, Rev. Steven Jares, director of operations for FFWPU-USA, Dr. Thomas Ward, president of the Unification Theological Seminary (UTS), and Rev. Esteban Galván, pastor of the Bronx Family Church and pioneer of FFWPU Latino Ministry.
The event concluded with guests committing to bringing their communities and congregations to the December 28 rally. “This is the beginning of many activities that will take place,” said Pastor Monica Vallejo of the New York City Latino Ministry. “To all Latino families here in the USA and in all regions around the world, we can achieve victory through Tribal Messiahship.”
