The following are updates submitted by Unificationists of the Kissimmee and Columbia Family Churches about their latest initiatives and efforts to share the vision and mission of True Parents with their neighbors in District 5.
Palm Bay, Florida

Jaja Robert and Yvonne Honey Skyers gratefully participated in the Marriage Blessing Ceremony of True Parents on September 25, 2016. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Jeddie and Rev. Elma King, at their Home Church in Palm Bay, Florida.
Fifteen Unificationists and three guests attended the celebration. Rev. Emmanuel Souck emceed at the ceremony and together with his wife Rev. Victorine served as the couple’s Blessing attendants.
The ceremony opened with songs such as “We are One in the Spirit” and “You Can’t Be Alone,” sung by Rev. Elma, which were a perfect fit for the occasion. It was truly a day on which the couple as well as their families and community could pour out their hearts for True Parents as one family.
Columbia, South Carolina
Contributed by Randall Reeves
As the population of homeless South Carolinians is rising, 35 ministers gathered for a luncheon on September 19, 2016 to discuss how to help this population of people who have lost their homes. With the cooperation of the mayor of Columbia, the group is planning a parade on October 15 to bring awareness to the problem. The Unificationist community of South Carolina plans to set up a table and pass out copies of True Father’s autobiography, As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen, to reach out to everyone there about True Parents.
