Korean Religious Association Inherits True Parents’ Spirit
On June 13, 40 members of the Korean Religious Association (KRA) arrived in New York from Korea in support of interreligious unity and to inherit the spirit of True Parents. The KRA highly values interfaith, with many of its members coming from a variety of religious backgrounds. After arriving, the KRA members they shared a beautiful prayer breakfast with 70 religious leaders of the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC), whom they had met at the Peace Starts With Me Interfaith Conference last September. As the religious representatives of different religions and nations prayed together, the participants were reminded that this world truly is meant to be one family.
Following the passionate breakfast was a tour of the United Nations building. Dr. Tom Walsh, Chairman of Universal Peace Federation International, showed the ways in which the UN supports religion and emphasizes interfaith unity, explaining that it is not just politicians that create change in this world. The KRA members then headed to the Hyojeong East Garden Museum, immersing themselves in True Parents’ work in America over the past 50 years. Regional Chairman of Family Federation North America Dr. Ki Hoon Kim shared about True Parents’ religious and business activities in America, conveying their mission to bring the nation, and ultimately, the world, back to God. The KRA members then returned to their hotel, reflecting on the power of interfaith unity and the incredible heart of True Parents after their first day in America.
