Holy Days: Chil Il Jeol and Chil Pal Jeol

On Thursday, August 1, 2019, 7.1 by the lunar calendar of the 7th year of CIG, the Unification community will commemorate two of the eight major Holy Days: the 29th Declaration Day of God’s Eternal Blessing (Chil Il Jeol), and the 23rd Declaration of the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth (Chil Pal Jeol).

In 1993, on the 3rd Declaration Day of God’s Eternal Blessing, True Father said:

“Today, on this occasion of Chil Il Jeol, I again promise you God’s eternal blessings. Therefore, there must be no Fall from now on. Although the Fall occurred at the time of Adam and Eve, henceforth the Fall must not happen. Now that the promise of eternal blessing has been proclaimed, the Fall must not occur in this era of history. Adam and Eve must attain their central position by growing from the level of little children to the level of adults. They must grow until they reach perfection. However, in the end, there is still Adam and Eve’s own five-percent portion of responsibility, which they must accomplish within the realm of dominion based on accomplishments through the Principle. Only when they are connected with God through love in both spirit and body can they do as they wish, being in a direct relationship with God both internally and externally… I am saying that the era has arrived in which God can directly intervene in both the realm of direct dominion and the realm of dominion based on accomplishments through the Principle.” —(Cheon Seong Gyeong, Book 11, Chapter 5, Section 1, Number 49)

The declaration of Chil Pal Jeol was made on the foundation of completing the blessing of 3.6 million couples. True Parents declared that God was finally able to take his “Cosmic Sabbath,” and that God’s eternal resting place can be in the hearts and homes of every Blessed family.
