Happy Independence Day!

Everyone knows the fourth of July is a time to celebrate, enjoy a cookout with friends and watch the fireworks with awe. However it is also a time to reflect with gratitude on the many blessings bestowed upon this great country, and the people who fought hard to build our homeland. America has come a long way, from its roots of freedom-seekers, to the ups and downs of the eras, to the real “land of the free” it is today.

America, who gained her independence 238 years ago, is founded specifically upon a trust in God. Because of this, America’s independence is thanks to God, and for the sake of the world. With great blessings as a nation comes great responsibility to lift up the rest of the world. We have a lot to look back on and be grateful for, but we also have much to look forward to and change. As we enjoy everything we have, let us also stand strong and fight for what God still wants to accomplish.
