Being with family’s eating and going to church, being with good people and praying for all my family and friends to be safe. Amen

currently my family celebrates every Easter Sunday with my in-laws at their church. This started when my Mother in-law was still with us on here on earth. Where ever we live, in PA or in Long Island NY we traveled to the Brookdale Reformed church in Bloomfield and celebrated together. It began with a potluck breakfast, everyone brings a dish themed for Easter breakfast. After that we join in celebration in Easter Service , retelling the story of Mary Magdalena and other women finding the stone rolled away from Jesus’s tomb. I especially delight in the Easter Liturgy and Easter songs. They speak of victory and hope and new beginning. At home we do decorate with Forsythia branches in a vase from which we hanging colorful painted eggs. We also hide nests filled with Easter eggs for every family member to find. Of course a chocolate bunny is always included. A wonderful walk in a park nearby tops it off.

This Easter post is a bit disappointing to see. Easter is a very important holiday both in the Christian tradition and for the Unification Movement. This is the day when True Father received his calling from Jesus. Not to mention that today is also Good Friday.
I hope there will be another message posted on the website that can explain these ideas better.
