Happy Birthday True Parents!

This year we celebrate True Father’s 99th birthday and True Mother’s 76th Birthday! True Father’s centennial birthday is in the year 2020, which makes 2019 a very important year for True Mother who has been urging so many of us to complete our Tribal Messiahship mission and realize Vision 2020! This is exciting as we have the rest of winter and spring before the next international level Marriage Blessing Ceremony in August where we can potentially invite couples to participate in the Hyojeong Cosmic Blessing with True Mother in Korea.

In the earliest days of True Parents’ ministry, True Father desired that we each become a Blessed couple and raise a Blessed family and create a Blessed tribe to bring all of God’s children within God’s fold. Vision 2020 was set to help all Blessed families reach True Father’s Tribal Messiah goals by his 100th birthday. This makes True Parents’ birthday an opportunity for Unificationists to reflect on the calling they have received from True Parents and the life-changing experiences that have shaped who they are today and how they can move forward to complete God’s mission for restoration and build Cheon Il Guk one tribe at a time.

Why True Parents’ Birthday is a Global Affair

There isn’t a corner of the world True Parents’ work has not touched—from their legacy in encouraging cross-cultural marriages to their international and interfaith peace work. We celebrate their birthdays in a big way with a blowout celebration in Korea, inviting people of different religious backgrounds, nationalities and ethnicities to show their love for a couple that has touched lives on all levels.

True Father’s main goal was to unify all religions by finding their common core and use their combined strengths to bring this ailing world back to God. Unificationists have often heard True Parents reflect on their mission in life; their birthdays signify the start of a lifetime of answering God’s call to build one global family centered on God, our Heavenly Parent. This means that all 7.5 billion people on earth need to care for and love each other as they would their own mother, father, sister, and brother.

February 10, 2019 is an opportunity to reflect on this global vision championed by a couple who has stopped at nothing to see peace manifest and has given their hearts and souls toward a better world.
