GTGY Concludes with a Surprise Visit

On August 20, Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, Vice President of Family Federation International, surprised the North American Global Top Gun Youth (GTGY) participants with a visit at the beginning of their regional meeting where each participant makes a clear commitment for their future.

Dr. Kim greeted the 65 participants and five staff in the group, thanked them for their hardwork, and encouraged everyone to become future leaders. He shook hands with as many people as he could and joined in for a group photo before taking off.

After the exciting surprise visit, participants then split into groups by categories: Generation Peace Academy, high school students, and subregions. In pairs, participants shared about highlights, challenges, lessons they learned and their commitments for the future. Then everyone gathered together again and shared with the group.

“Even though we all share the same space and have gone through the same things, the experiences were vast with different kinds of highs, lows, and takeaways,” said one participant. “Hearing from one another is always a nice experience, it allows all of us to learn from each other.”
