Grand Opening of Philadelphia Family Church
The Philadelphia Family Church celebrated the grand opening of their new church building on Sunday, July 30th. The theme of the celebration was building unity in order to save this nation.
“Family members were so inspired and encouraged to have faith and unite amongst our faith community,” said Shota Iwasaki, Pastor of the Philadelphia Family Church.
Rev. Richard Buessing, our new FFWPU USA President, and his wife Mrs. Marjorie Buessing, visited the Philadelphia Family Church at the grand opening as the Buessings’ first church visit and sermon since Rev. Buessing’s new appointment as president.
In his sermon, Rev. Buessing mentioned that we have recently achieved the great goal of filling up Madison Square Garden, and if we want to change our nation, we need to find people who can change the country. In order to find these people, it is important to set a foundation of faith and of substance by reading True Father’s words and studying Divine Principle, as well as creating unity among each other.
“Rev. and Mrs. Buessing are setting a great example of deep unity, love, and trust as a couple,” said Pastor Iwasaki. “Rev. Buessing expressed many times how much he wanted to visit members across the nation. During lunch time, many wanted to speak with the couple, and their table was very crowded with people both young and old.”
Congratulations to the Philadelphia Family Church on their Grand Opening and for their ongoing collective effort in building peace, love, and unity in their community!
