Four-Day Seminar Examines God, Life and Lineage

On March 24-27, the Colorado Family Church was privileged to receive a special guest speaker from Ireland, James Powell. James joined the Unification movement in 2007 and attended the Marriage Blessing Ceremony with Elona in 2009. As a couple, James and Elona share a passion to share True Parents’ teaching with the world, particularly through the spiritual experiences that James has had since his childhood.

Despite an unexpected snow storm on Thursday, March 24, the seminar went very smoothly. James shared every day, and in between talks there were delicious homemade meals, a BBQ, a sightseeing trip to the Garden of the Gods, and time for sharing.

James shared about a variety of topics based on the Divine Principle, his own personal spiritual experiences, and modern scientific breakthroughs in epigenetics, bio photons, and quantum physics. The talks included, “What Does God Look Like?”, “Is the Original Sin/Original Lineage Real?”, “What Are Vitality Elements Physiologically?”, “What Happens When I Liberate and Bless My Ancestors?”, and “Why Do We Need to Live a Principled Lifestyle?”

The talks were inspiring and uplifting and James shared very honestly and naturally. We got to hear about James’s search for absolute truth since he was 12 years old and his personal experiences with God, Jesus, and True Parents from even before he ever met the movement. Throughout the four days, 49 people attended, out of which 14 were young adults and teens.

Many people shared that the four-day program was very eye-opening and reminded them of what was important in their lives. It answered many of the questions that people had about the Blessing and Original Sin, as well as providing a renewed sense of confidence in choosing this faith and way of life.

Pastor Mike Hentrich said that, “In part, I wanted to invite James here because I wanted to hear his talks and have a faith-deepening experience. I’m happy to say that’s exactly what happened! I’m extremely grateful to James for coming out here.”

    It’s interesting how much more impact it makes when members are interchanged over the continents and how much good stuff,spiritual experiences are what many people look for on Facebook etc.
    What we receive is to adapt & share remembering TRUE MOTHER mentioning the year of the monkey as being versatile and previewing ahead :both TRUE FATHER &TRUE MOTHER are monkey signs
