Forgiveness in Marriage
Welcome to True Parents Way!
Our video series is about the Cheon Il Guk Constitution. This week’s episode is on the office of the chief executive, the “Jeong Won,” which must work with boldness and strenuous teamwork. A society needs a central figure with a true parent’s heart. When it has no monarch, it makes one of its chief executive. The Cheon Il Guk Constitution uplifts the true monarch, True Parents, and distributes executive powers all the way to the tribe and the family. The chief executive, the International President, Sun Jin Moon, must act with boldness, but in the context of strenuous teamwork.
Our Holy Marriage Blessing podcast follows up conflicts in marriage with forgiveness in marriage. Forgiveness is magical. Jesus tells us that when we forgive, we are forgiven. Do you want to be forgiven? It’s simple—forgive. He also said the converse: if we don’t forgive others, we will not be forgiven. What about the greatest forgiveness of all, that of the original sin? My forgiveness of my spouse begets God’s forgiveness of me. The power of Christ in True Parents to forgive even the original sin through the Holy Marriage Blessing is in vain, if I do not forgive. Forgiveness is essential to ending conflict in marriage, and how many times should I forgive? Jesus said, endlessly. Conflicts end, but forgiveness never ends.
