Finding God in Your Spouse

True Parents Way continues its blog series, “Divine Principle Sex Education.” According to Exposition of Divine Principle, “Illicit sexual desire is constantly active in [all people’s] souls, sometimes without their conscious awareness…no man is able to unearth this root of sin, buried deep in the recesses of time. Only Christ…can grasp it and uproot it.” It sounds as if Christ has super-human powers, but he doesn’t. As a human being, Sun Myung Moon had to establish his mind’s dominion over his body. Through prayer, scripture study and a course of blood, sweat and tears, he discovered that the root of sin is illicit sexual desire.

This week’s video is entitled “Why Parents Give Rules.” Do true parents worry about their authority? Do they want to oppress their children? No; they want to educate their children and keep them alive so they can grow up! When we tell our children, don’t smoke, go to church, pray, don’t have sex before marriage, we may not realize it, but we are imitating God. We want our children to live happy, fulfilled lives. That desire comes from the parent’s original mind.

Our Holy Marriage Blessing podcast is entitled, “Finding God in Your Spouse.” Finding God is not just for the lucky and the strong. Everyone is created to find God. You go to God through the arms of your spouse. God wants to have arms to hold you. You don’t hold yourself in your own arms. God will hold you through the arms of your spouse.
