Families Enjoy Summer Camp on the Farm

For the last seven years Unificationist families in Poland have been attending summer camp in Banie Mazurskie, a small village in the Mazurian Lake District, where they stay in the farmhouse of a Unificationist family. This year the summer camp was held from June 28 to July 4.
The children enjoy being embraced by beautiful, pure nature and spending time with farm animals including a cow, pigs, ducks and chickens.
Every morning the children have religious instruction about faith fathers such as Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and, finally, True Parents. Qualities like loyalty, courage, faith, obedience and love are taught and practiced.

There are also interactive games in which the children play-act historical figures. This inspires them very much. Great joy, fun and unity are felt between participants and staff, including the young staff who do a great job in helping and supporting the program.
Each day starts with a one-hour Hoon Dok Hwe (scripture reading) for the staff, followed by a morning service for the children.
Additional activities include swimming in the lake, sightseeing of German bunkers from World War II, sports “Olympics” for the children, jumping in the hay in the barn, visiting an old Catholic church, campfires, cooking with the grandmother and making honey with the uncle of the farmhouse.

This year some participants stayed an additional day to participate in local festivities called Lisowisko. The group was presented by the director of the culture club, and children played soccer with local children, and played other contests, winning nice rewards.
Everybody—parents, children and staff—returned home happy and satisfied.
