Uniting as One Family Under God: Let’s Ask New York
“What do you think about the election results and the fact that America is divided along political lines? What’s more important: unity, or ‘being right’? What do you think America could do if it’s united?” As with the last two weeks’ topics of forgiveness and love, we hit the streets of New York City once again to ask people questions on the topic of unity. We also shared with them an excerpt of True Father’s autobiography describing his vision of unity and peace.
Today’s video is part of a series made in an effort to reach out and share with others True Father’s life and vision. With the motto, “Forgive, love and unite,” we engage in dialogue with people we meet.
As Unificationists, it may be easy to have a sense of what unity means because True Parents have given us a common vision. However, without a clear basis under which to unite, what do Americans think of unity? We heard diverse responses from the people we met.
