Our video this week is entitled, “No Place to Lay Her Head.” “As they had more children, for Mother to find even a corner in which she could give birth to her baby was so difficult. At that time, all meetings were held in Father’s room, which was of course Mother’s room as well. The leaders would linger there with Father until late at night. When Mother was pregnant, she often needed a place to rest, and we arranged a small bathroom next door, where she could lie down. …that was the only place she could find to sleep. Mother willingly offered her place as a meeting room.” Mrs. Moon continues to offer her life to make space in Father’s room, which is of course her room as well.

Thursday’s True Parents Way podcast, “Give Thanks for Marriage,” celebrates Thanksgiving. Reverend Moon teaches that the seed of God’s providence came to the Americas through the Puritans, symbolized by their meal with their new neighbors, the American Indians. In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national day of “Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens.” We are thankful for God’s Blessing of marriage, for by this Blessing marriage will prevail against the forces that would destroy it and, with it, the world. Our blog series, “Sacrifice, Compassion, and Global Change,” discusses Mrs. Moon’s gathering of religious leaders for the sake of peace on the Korean peninsula. Father Moon said that the ideology that will unite the peninsula “not only should make Christianity one, but it should also make all religions as one. …When North and South are unified under this situation and can manage the religions of the world and all the people, the religious realm of God’s Will manifests.” Inspired by the love of the only begotten Daughter on November 11, 400 diverse religious leaders united to create the Interreligious Association for Peace and Development. God’s providence advances without ceasing.
