Our video this week is entitled, “A Lonely Understanding: The Path of True Mother.” Mrs. Moon once said she was alone her entire life. True Father said the same about himself: “No one understands me. My parents never understood, even my wife and children can never really understand. My understanding of God is a lonely understanding. I always feel how vulnerable and weak I am, but I know that God trusts and is depending on me to fulfill.” It is the weak and vulnerable who know the weak and vulnerable God. They are the ones, he said, who stay. True Mother stayed. Telling us she was alone, mocked for saying it, and silently bowing her head, she practices True Father’s words: “You also can be a companion to that lonely God.”

Thursday’s Holy Marriage Blessing podcast, “Marriage in Spirit World,” is a classic from Pastor Ruth’s radio library, given two years ago on Halloween. Rev. Moon teaches that in spirit world, we do not breathe physical air. We breathe love; love is air in spirit world. Whether on Earth or in Heaven, without healthy lungs, we suffocate. Lung cancer destroys our physical lungs, and selfishness destroys our spiritual lungs. Selfishness is like spiritual lung cancer. It is cured by giving, giving more, forgetting one has given, and giving again. God provides a place for the cure: it’s called blessed marriage. Listen in.

And on Friday we begin our new blog series, “Sacrifice, Compassion, and Global Change.” We begin with the words of Rev. Moon: “This is the great sacred formula, and we must repeatedly emphasize our having to sacrifice ourselves on the individual level to save our family, and we must readily sacrifice our family for the salvation of our clan and nation, and we must readily sacrifice our nation for the salvation of the whole world. And then alone can we have God enjoy Sabbath, and Jesus Christ also. It is going to be a grand human march.”
