Correction to the HSA 2017 Calendar
As you may have noticed or heard, the 2017 printed calendar has a major error with the Lunar Calendar synchronization starting from the month of June.
Every few years, an entire month repeats itself in the Chinese Lunar calendar, a “leap” month that isn’t always the same month. In the PRINT version of the calendar, the solar dates are all accurate, but after May 2017, the lunar dates are incorrect. This affects four church holidays that are commemorated by their lunar dates, primarily the 5th Anniversary of True Father’s Seonghwa that will be celebrated on September 7, 2017.
We apologize for any confusion this mistake may have caused, and are truly sorry for this.
There are two options we can offer as correction:
1. We have prepared a PDF calendar showing all the correct dates, both solar and lunar. This is the same size with the same photos as the printed calendar. It can be downloaded from HSA Books (choose “free digital download”):
2. A second option is to download the PDF of the calendar part for the months of June to December in a full page 81/2″ x 11″ format that can be printed on full page labels (such as Avery® 5165). These would cover most of the calendar part on the printed calendar, so it may be easier to keep using it as before.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for this mistake and for any inconvenience this caused.
