Community Hosts Two-Day Workshop in Spanish

On Saturday and Sunday, February 18 and 19, the Seattle Family Church organized its first Spanish Divine Principle Workshop in over 10 years.  The two-day event was held at the Windermere mansion, in Seattle, WA where guests were treated to good food and spiritual insight.

Local Hispanic Unificationists took the reigns to organize and invite the seven new guests who participated on the weekend.

Mrs. Nancy Makowski, a renowned Divine Principle Spanish lecturer from the Los Angeles Family Church, gave passionate presentations that moved participants and staff alike. Pastor Nelson Mira of Seattle noted, “I witnessed a man, nodding his head in agreement, especially when Mrs. Makowski was talking about the Fall of Man…She also shared her story about how True Parents matched her and her husband. From this, it kept them more interested to come back for more. Their reactions were very positive.”

Mrs. Makowski herself was moved by the experience. She expressed how one of the participants shed tears during her presentation on the course of Jesus. She commented that he “could be a very powerful Divine Principle Spanish lecturer in the future.”

Along with the seven guests, eight local Unificationists attended as well and commented that it was refreshing to hear the Divine Principle in Spanish. One woman even stayed for the whole weekend despite the fact that she understands little Spanish.

For many, the chance to hear the Divine Principle in their native language is a blessing. The Seattle Family Church was proud to bring the Divine Principle to more people in this way and plans to hold more Spanish language programs in the future.
