COMINGS AND GOINGS: BFM’s Debby Gullery Starts a Private Practice
It is with fondness and excitement for future developments, that we bid farewell to Debby Gullery as she transitions from headquarters staff to launching the next phase of her career as coach and counselor. Since 2009, Debby has worked at headquarters in the Blessing and Family Ministry as Director of Counseling and Co-Director of Blessed Family Education. During this period Debby offered counsel to brothers and sisters, giving support as they traversed life’s challenges and transitions. She has also helped countless individuals prepare for the matching and Blessing, supported communication between parents and their teen-aged and young adult children, and coached married couples of all ages.

Debby has been instrumental in developing a 3-leveled Blessing Education program, and has taught Blessing workshops throughout the country. She contributed to the development of both the Family Matching Handbook and the Unificationist Matching Handbook and has taught at national Parents’ Matching Convocations. Her passions include working with young adults and marriage education. She has taught marriage workshops for couples of all ages, and plans to continue doing so.
Debby will continue to be an essential part of our extended Blessing and Family Ministry team, working as a consultant in educational development for members and pastors. Although she will no longer be available for counseling through HSA-UWC, she has launched her own coaching business and will continue to provide services independently. Please look for her on our BFM website under Unificationist Counselors. She is also working on a book about marriage, so be on the lookout for that in the very near future! The working title is “Small Steps to Big Love: A Practical Guide to Marriage as a Spiritual Practice.”
We are grateful for the incredible contribution Debby has made to our nationwide church and Blessed families through the Blessing and Family Ministry, and the tremendous support she has given to brothers and sisters over the years. We know she will continue to contribute as she expands her reach to include people outside of our faith community. We wish her the very best in all future endeavors and many blessings to her and her family!
