Civil Rights Icon to Greet Tour

The 48-state God’s Hope for America bus tour welcomes Ms. Annie Mable McDaniel Abrams, a legendary Civil Rights activist and educator in Pulaski County, Arkansas, who will give a message at 8:00 a.m. Thursday on the East steps of the State Capitol in Little Rock.
Ms. Abrams, who played a role in the desegregation of Central High School in 1956 and who later rose to prominence as an organizer of Little Rock’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day parade and the renaming of High Street in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., will give blessings and good wishes to the prayer pilgrims of the God’s Hope for America road trip who depart Little Rock on the morning of July 3, 2014.
She will be joined by members of the American Clergy Leadership Conference of Little Rock, the Universal Peace Federation, the Women’s Federation for World Peace, and the FFWPU of Little Rock.
Dr. Michael Balcomb, president of the FFWPU-USA, will exchange good wishes with Ms. Abrams at the red-carpet ceremony and will share his goal for visiting and offering prayers in all 48 states. He will also give his reflections on the lessons learned from following in the footsteps of True Father, who often spoke on the theme of “America is God’s Hope.”
