Cheongpyeong 2015 Summer Workshops

The Cheongpyeong 40-day Workshop was started on March 12, 1996 as an opportunity to study True Parents’ words and live a daily life that reflects their teachings. This year will mark the 194th and 195th Cheongpyeong 40-day workshops, which are open to all Unificationists in high school or older, for the purpose of double-checking one’s faith, making a new start and resolving challenges for individuals and families. They will be held on March 28 – May 6, 2015, and May 9 – June 17, 2015. All workshop information is available on the Cheongpyeong website. There will also be a number of special workshops available, as listed below.

Special Workshops for International Young People

Young people from around the world are invited to participate in the Cheongpyeong workshops this summer. These devotional workshops last 21 days for junior high school students (grades 6-9), and 40 days for high school and university students. The goals of this workshop are to understand the heart of God and True Parents, practice the Divine Principle in daily life and prepare for building a true family. The workshops include service work, field trips and daily education and scripture reading from the Exposition of the Divine Principle and True Father’s autobiography, As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen. Daily activities are designed to provide a deep and spiritually cleansing experience in the heart of the education facilities in Cheongpyeong, Korea.

Summer schedules are set for international young people of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification and now would be a good time to book plane tickets for these programs, which begin this July. The exact schedules are available on the workshop information page along with more detailed information on the workshops, costs, payment and preparation.

Special Workshop for Blessed Wives

This year, 40-day Special Workshops for Blessed Wives will be held simultaneously with the 194th & 195th Cheongpyeong 40-day Workshops. The first will be held from March 28, 2015 to May 6, 2015, and the second from May 9, 2015 to June 17, 2015. True Father spoke of the significance of the Cheongpyeong 40-day Special Workshop for Blessed Wives, saying that it is a period during which God can focus in on the lives of the members of each blessed family, as well as providing an opportunity to work with each family. True Father said, “Our Heavenly Parent can record all of it thoroughly, and will solve the contents one by one.” 

Daily scripture reading will include the Exposition of the Divine Principle, thePyeong Hwa Shin Kyeong, and As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen.

Workshop for Staff

The 40-day Workshop for International Young People will be held from July 4 to August 12, 2015. Anyone interested in being a staff member  for this workshop is invited to participate in the staff workshop from June 26 – July 3, 2015. There, staff will be briefed about the youth workshop and its objectives, and will have the opportunity to prepare for the workshop. This opportunity is ideal for university students seeking to gain international experience, build new friendships and be a mentor and leader at the Cheongpyeong workshops for young people.

The Workshop for International Young People is also recruiting parental figure staff, who need to have previously completed a 40-day workshop.
