Celebrating & Commemorating True Parents
The program, translated in eight languages, had four main parts including the main ceremony, a special hyojeong cultural musical, hyojeong cultural performance, and a six-part documentary sharing the life course of True Parents. Hyojeong is a Unification term referring to the culture of heart.
“Let us inherit True Parents’ heart and their spirit for the Will of God,” said host Bang Seung Man, senior director of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification International (FFWPUI) headquarters.
Peppered with beautiful musical performances, quotes from Rev. Moon, and moving video montages, the program featured narration of True Parents’ journey before Dr. Moon took the stage.
Narration excerpt:
“We miss you True Father. We miss you more and more as the years pass, and our love for you grows deeper. We miss your boundless love through which you raised us to be your sons and daughters. The Unification community is now supporting True Mother and walking the path with her in response to Heaven’s call, and we are working to realize your dream to live even for one day in God’s kingdom. Your words of encouragement to the blessed families awaken the core of our souls. Your prayers and utmost effort to console God open our closed hearts. True Father, your sole purpose in life was to realize Heaven’s Will. The work you pursued across the world in all fields of endeavor based on your vision for one family under God laid the foundation to save humankind and to firmly establish Cheon Il Guk (Kingdom of Heaven).”
Dr. Moon then warmly greeted the virtual audience, sharing a message on ‘What is the mission of the chosen people?’
“God the Creator is the parent of humanity, and the Creator who stands in the parental position,” said Dr. Moon. “Looking at the reality of humanity suffering today, God our Heavenly Parent is not sitting idly and watching His beloved children suffer. God wished to realize the ideal of Creation on this earth, to realize an ideal world on this earth, so that when earthly life ends human beings can ascend to the spirit world and live for eternity in communion and within the bosom of Heavenly Parent. This was God’s original dream.”
She shared how indemnity is necessary to restore humanity’s history where people did not fulfill their responsibility to God. “There are responsibilities and duties that are expected of chosen people,” continued Dr. Moon. “When we look at history’s outcome, we see the chosen people of Israel did not fulfill their full responsibility … When the people of Israel did not embrace Jesus and he went the way of the cross, he prophesied that he would come again to host the marriage wedding of the lamb … The people of Korea are the chosen people of this time.”
Dr. Moon explained how the chosen people of Korea brought forth True Parents, who stood on three generations of an ancestrally prepared foundation, and how God protected the Korean peninsula for South Korea to flourish.
“We need to seriously reflect on what the identity of being the chosen people entails,” said Dr. Moon. “The chosen people have the responsibility of uniting as one with the only begotten son and the only begotten daughter, and work together with True Parents to realize Heavenly Parent’s ideal of Creation. That is the duty of the chosen people.”
