CARP Joins Kodan for a Vision Night in Pasadena
On July 27 in Pasadena, California, 90 members of the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP) and the High School Association for the Research of Principles (HARP) joined Kodan, an organization of Japanese-American Unificationists, for a special Vision Night to share their reflections from the latest Hyojeong (filial heart) trip to Japan and Korea.
The Hyojeong trip lasted from June 26 to July 11 where 360 HARP and CARP students traveled to Japan and Korea to meet with fellow CARP members and unite with True Mother’s vision to expand the Hyojeong culture.
Jennifer Pierce, CARP Program Assistant emceed the event which featured students from colleges all over southern California. Kyosei Nagai, Takayo Hiraki, and Joshua Holmes, Regional Leaders of CARP Los Angeles presented on their vision for the future of CARP. Then each regional chapter met individually so they could decide on their own goals for the upcoming semester. The students are excited for classes to start in the fall and hope to continue growing the impact that they have on their campuses.
The following week, 52 students attended a special training for CARP board members which took place from July 31 to August 3. There, they learned more about how they can kick off the semester with a strong start. And on August 9, 63 students joined other Unificationists for a Pastor’s Vision Night in Pasadena. At the vision night, youth from the Revival Starts with Me (RSWM) movement shared their passion and determination to bring about God’s ideal for the world. Pastor William G. Davis Jr. of the Rock of Faith Baptist Church in Los Angeles gave the main remarks. He hopes to support the RSWM students in their efforts to fulfill True Parents’ mission in America.

I’m so happy to read, that our beautiful “PASADENA HOUSE”, bought by the German IOWC-Team under our leadership in 1974 is still serving it’s noble purpose of being a home to our members and birth place for new brothers and sisters. The photos bring back so many precious memories of our True Parents’ numerous visits to the Pasadena House they loved so much that they named it “WEST GARDEN”. In gratitude to our beloved True Parents,
Paul and Christel Werner.
