ACLC Creates an Authentic Relationship with God
More than 30 pastors and guests from New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania attended the first American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) Prayer Breakfast on August 25 hosted by the Elizabeth (New Jersey) Family Church.
The prayer breakfast began with an invocation offered by Rev. Kathleen Sato, the ACLC co-chair for New Jersey, followed by welcoming remarks from Pastor of Elizabeth Family Church Rev. Darryl Franklin. Rev. Bruce Grodner, the ACLC National Executive Director gave a very profound presentation on the spiritual significance and the importance of blessing 1 million families by 2020. This was followed by a Holy Wine ceremony for two couples that was officiated by Pastor Darryl and Sara Franklin.
Finally, keynote speaker Rev. Phylicia Harding-Smith gave a very profound message on the importance of having a real and authentic relationship with God. She testified that before True Father began his mission, he must have experienced rebirth. Therefore, in order for our work to manifest in substance, we must be reborn in the spirit of God. Before finishing her message, Rev. Harding-Smith played the keyboard and offered a praise song that brought everyone to their feet, expressing much energy and inspiration.
The atmosphere was highly spirited in which the guests and organizers expressed appreciation for the blessing and the warmth of the program.
Report submitted by Pastor Darryl Franklin.
