Welcome to True Parents Way!

This week, True Parents Way blog series is about nation building. Rev. and Mrs. Moon called the UN to build peace zones. A zone is a jurisdiction, an area with rules governing its inhabitants. A nation is a zone—a territory with a constitution and an economy that sustains its population. Today the world hosts thousands of zones—not just nation-zones but zones within nations, special jurisdictions that rule limited areas for the purposes of commerce and economic development. Our co-founders called the UN to create a new kind of zone, a zone of freedom, peace, unification and happiness.

This week’s video discusses “The Path to Nationhood” in the Cheon Il Guk Constitution. From its Article 15, we surmise that all Family Federation “national unit” activities are to harmonize with the laws of their host nation. On that foundation, Family Federation leaders can work with that nation’s leaders, religious and secular, to foster a national culture of sexual purity and marital fidelity. With this in place, together they can confer with the Jeong Won, Jae Won and Supreme Council on their qualification for Cheon Il Guk nationhood, for final approval by True Parents.

Our Holy Marriage Blessing podcast, “Peace Prayer in the Parking Lot,” is a testimony about sharing the marriage Blessing with new people. I go to the marketplaces and introduce myself and the Family Federation to families. I ask if they affirm that sexual purity and marital fidelity beyond race, nation and religion will lead to world peace. I invite those who believe this to partake of the marriage communion, grape juice, and receive the Blessing prayer. Hand in hand, as couples and children, we bow our heads and pray. It is a chaplaincy to everyone in the freedom of Christ.
