A Letter from the Outgoing President: Thank You for Your Support

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Thank you all for your incredible support as we work together for God and True Parents’ providence. Recently, we had the great blessing of welcoming True Mother in America and be a part of the great victory of the Peace Starts With Me rally at the Nassau Coliseum. True Mother was welcomed by hundreds of churches, their pastors, congregants, other faith leaders, as well as blessed central families from all over America. It was truly an event where we all felt the Holy Spirit. After her successful visit to America, she embarked on a victorious tour in Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Nepal, where she conducted the Blessing and met many religious leaders and public officials.
Upon her return to Korea, True Mother invited Dr. Kim, myself and the five subregional leaders to celebrate Christmas with her. There she shared with us how important is for America to be restored and for American Christianity to fully unite with her. In that meeting, she also recommended that Rev. Demian Dunkley be appointed as the president of the Family Federation in the USA.
With this recommendation, the HSA-UWC Board of Directors approved Rev. Demian Dunkley, our vice president, as the new president. Rev. Dunkley and his wife Yumiko have led the Northeast Subregion for the past year. They have invested their creativity and energy in TribeNet and in the Nassau Coliseum rally, and truly inspired us all. A few months after I became president, I had a vivid dream that Rev. Dunkley would be our next president, and now this dream became a reality. Marjorie and I wish Rev. and Mrs. Dunkley the greatest success in their new role. We will continue to support them for Vision 2020 and beyond.
It has been a great privilege and honor to serve as your president for the past year and a half. Thanks to your prayers, efforts, and sacrifice we could see great developments in many areas of our work. I would especially like to thank Dr. Kim for his mentorship and for connecting us to True Parents on a daily basis. I would also like to thank members of the HSA Board, our incredible team here at HQ, the Subregional Directors, District Pastors, and brothers and sisters from around the country. I will remember all of you, as you welcomed us to your communities with hearts filled with the spirit and love of our True Parents. Marjorie and I are so grateful to True Mother and to all of you. We are truly one family under God.
