59th Anniversary of HSA-UWC in America

Dear Family, 

Thank you all for your ongoing investments and efforts in furthering Heavenly Parent and True Parents’ vision for America. Today, September 18, we commemorate a few significant anniversaries, each marks a milestone in God’s Providence in America. 

On Sept. 18, 1961, the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity (HSA-UWC) was officially incorporated in the United States. Since then, this has been the main organization to realize True Parents work in America. Throughout the 59 years, HSA has been a vessel for True Parents’ work to fulfill God’s will. 

On the same day, in 1974, True Father spoke in Madison Square Garden for the first time with a thundering speech on “The New Future of Christianity”. True Parents have explained that they came to America to save it; to save Christianity, and through Christianity, save America.

Two years later, on September 18, 1976, True Parents held the historic “Bicentennial God Bless America Festival” at the Washington Monument, where True Father spoke on “America and God’s Will”. These monumental speeches showed True Parents’ deep love and commitment to God and to America.

Since True Father’s ascension, True Mother has reminded us repeatedly that America and Christianity have a role to play in order to save the world. True Mother has invested herself in completing the mission of True Parents on earth and has given prophetic messages to the clergy today.

Just this week, True Mother called again, feeling the urgency of God’s heart. She is asking us to stand up! It is our responsibility to build together with the American Clergy Leadership Conference the Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community centered on True Parents. 

Only this way, we can not only save America, but save the world. True Mother was very clear, we should focus on our responsibility in America, let Christianity stand up with us, and bring True Parents’ message to everyone, our friends, neighbors, and the leaders of our communities and our nation.

Let us hear True Mother at this time and heed her call. Thank you all again for everything you do for the sake of Heavenly Parent and True Parents.
