Preparing for Madison Square Garden

As we approach True Mother’s historic message at Madison Square Garden, Unificationists across the nation have been working together in various ways to help make the momentous event even greater. Each district has set goals for the number of people from their district that will attend the event, prepared transportation to accommodate their travels, and established prayer conditions. Below are several different ways the districts have been preparing for True Parents at the Garden in an effort to bring people of all backgrounds and beliefs together through True Mother’s upcoming message. 
 

District 1

The seven Unificationist church communities in District 1 are contacting every family in their communities at least twice over the next few weeks to invite them to True Parents at the Garden, and to have a clear sense of who will be attending.

District 2

Unificationists in New York gather in Central Park

In order to spread the word about True Parents at the Garden, District 2 has focused on outreach in Harlem. Specifically, with the plethora of spectacular choirs in the Harlem area, District 1 will be bringing these choirs to draw in more spectators for the event.

Additionally, this past Thursday morning on June 14, Unificationists from New York gathered to pray at Central Park in support of the Madison Square Garden event.  The moment they finished, the rain came pouring down, just as it had last year when True Mother spoke at Belvedere to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of True Parents’ landmark rally at Yankee Stadium.

There was a similar gathering in Barrytown, NY on Saturday, June 17, as the Mid Hudson Family Church community, the Albany Family Church community, and local families gathered to pray as one for the success of the July 15 event. 

Unificationists have also been visiting churches all over New York and supporting their local American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) chapter in outreach efforts, including two groups who visited 25 churches in Harlem to invite their congregations to the event. 

District 3

Because it is crucial that as many people in America as possible hear the words of True Parents, District 3 has created a 15-person mobilization team that meets once a week to call people in the local community.

District 4

Prayer has been at the center of District 4’s mobilization efforts, completing multiple overnight prayers as they earnestly prepare their hearts for True Parents at the Garden.

District 7

To inspire others about True Parents, District 7 has been handing out copies of As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen, True Father’s inspirational autobiography. 

District 8

District 8 will be holding Marriage Blessing Ceremonies to honor True Mother’s return to America and her momentous upcoming message at Madison Square Garden. 

District 12

Students will be joining the mobilization efforts in District 12, as 20 young Unificationists will join a local rally to pave the way for True Parents at the Garden.
