WFWP Invited to Discuss Practical Steps for Peace
Mary Hida and Sarah Haruno of Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) Las Vegas were invited to the Aimmee Kodachian and the Experts Show in Las Vegas, where they were interviewed on the topic of how to bring peace on a global, national, and local level.
In the interview, Hida and Haruno gave a brief explanation of the history of WFWP, its “Bridge of Peace” program founded in 1995, and how WFWP has raised funds to promote better education in Africa. Hostess Aimmee Kodachian, who spoke at one of WFWP’s events on compassion, was inspired by how the group gathered everyone together centering on a desire to love and serve others regardless of their race, beliefs, and gender.
“I wanted to share this with everyone—that this particular group doesn’t just come out and ask what it can give me,” said Miss Kodachian. “At the same time, it guides you to become an effective leader, mother, wife, grandmother, and teacher in your own way. In a way, they are helping the world become a better place by helping others become better people.”
