Anniversary of Cheon Jeong Gung Opening Commemorated

On July 16, the 10th Anniversary of True Parents’ Coronation and Entrance Ceremony into the Cheon Jeong Gung was celebrated and presided over by True Parents. True Mother spoke about the providential meaning of that event, and of our responsibilities as blessed families.

Over 500 people, including movement elders and pastors, among others, participated in the anniversary. Unificationists worldwide also joined the celebration through the simultaneous live webcast provided in five different languages.

Wonju McDevitt, True Mother’s Chief of Staff and Secretary, read the speech given at the original Cheon Jeong Gung Entrance Ceremony and Coronation in 2006, reminding everyone of the significance of the day. Professor Yeon Ah Moon, President of Women’s Federation for World Peace International (WFWPI), gave the commemorative address saying, “I am sincerely grateful that we, as blessed families, can live in this Cheon Il Guk era opened by True Parents, an era unblemished by Satan’s shadow.”

Following Professor Moon’s message, the Cheong Shim Choir and the Cheon Bok Gung Church graced the celebration with a moving song. True Mother then explained how the Cheon Jeong Gung Entrance Ceremony and Coronation were held on the foundation of God’s 6,000-year providential history, and called everyone to participate in the development of the Cheon Ji Seon Hak Won, a museum that will feature True Parents’ lives and course.

“If people of the world were aware of True Parents’ path, their sight would blur from tears. Despite the very difficult path that True Parents had to take to accomplish God’s Will, True Parents only ever faced forward and marched on.

“Today, you are here in this place, but you cannot begin to understand the historical challenges that had to be overcome in order for you to be here. So many things that you cannot even imagine have happened.”

True Mother’s message moved the hearts of those in attendance, who were able to renew their determination to advance God’s Will. The following day True Mother presided over the celebratory banquet for the 10th Anniversary of True Parents’ Coronation and Entrance Ceremony, which was conducted alongside the opening ceremony of the Special Conference to Select the Key Strategic Nations.
