WFWP Festival Booth Generates Love, Smiles, Support
Contributed by Kiyomi Schmidt, WFWP USA
Tea brings back good memories of relaxation, time with friends and family and, in my case, watching Downton Abbey. As a lover of all types of tea, I have been waiting for an opportunity to make a homemade, whole spice chai tea to share with others.
Knowing that Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) USA was looking to support the God Bless America Family Festival by hosting a vendor table at the event, I wondered if this might be my chance. Our national team thought up many different vendor ideas, and we ultimately settled (with my two thumbs-up approval) on a teatime theme!
Our Vice President Katarina Connery helped to decorate an awesome photo booth for our table, and we sold the homemade chai tea in packets to support our 1% Love Share Project.
The 1% Love Share Project is a simple program built to exemplify and manifest many of True Parents’ ideals. This program has been a prominent effort in international WFWP chapters since 2001, but has yet to take off here in America. We are now working to expand the project here in America, as we know our true commission as a nation is to lift up those in need and to support those without power and a voice.
If this commission speaks to what you believe in, sign up to support the 1% Love Share Project and make a difference today!
