Yeon Ah Moon Meets with Canada Families
Yeon Ah Moon, President of Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) International and True Parents’ daughter-in-law, made a trip to Canada on March 11-13, 2016, to meet with local Unificationists and bring greetings from True Mother.
Her first stop was in Vancouver where she spoke at the Westin Wall Center Hotel on the evening of Friday, March 11. Over 12 Unificationists from Seattle made the trip North and joined Canadian Unificationists to hear Yeon Ah Moon’s message, in which she emphasized leading a life with an attitude centered on Heavenly Parent and True Parents.
Yeon Ah Moon began her talk with True Father’s words from September 14, 1997, spoken at the Belvedere training center in the USA: “Let us believe in and uphold True Parents, know True Parents, live together with True Parents, achieve oneness of love with True Family, and lead a heavenly life on this earth.” She emphasized that True Mother is the one who most knows of True Father’s hope and most wants to realize it. She also asked the audience to adopt the perspective of our Heavenly Parent in their everyday lives.
Yeon Ah Moon also shared about how True Mother is working hard to prepare the environment for future generations, saying, “Please don’t view True Mother as a CEO, but rather as our mom.” On Saturday morning, she met with several young people and spent time answering questions, listening to their concerns, and offering guidance.
Later that day, Yeon Ah Moon flew to Toronto, arriving late Saturday night. On Sunday, March 13, she spoke at the Toronto Family Church Sunday Service, beginning at 10:30 am. Over 45 local Unificationists from Montreal and Ottawa drove to Toronto the previous day and stayed in the homes of Toronto families in order to join the service. The chapel was completely full. People overflowed into the dining hall, where they watched the speech through a live feed. Despite the shortage of space, the atmosphere was cheerful, and many left inspired.
“I felt deeply blessed to be present at Yeon Ah Moon’s presentation in Toronto,” said Gino Masciotra. “I was moved by her humility, strength and deep loyalty to True Mother.” Isabelle Laurin commented, “Her heart is so sincere, so real.”
After the service, Yeon Ah Moon held a special meeting with WFWP core members and also convened a meeting with Japanese Blessed wives. The meetings went until the early evening. Everyone had a deep experience with Yeon Ah Moon. As Hiromi Winters noted, “We could all feel her deep loving heart. I was able to spend time with Yeon Ah Moon very closely and during that time with her, I couldn’t help but shed tears. I cried tears of repentance and gratitude. I felt Yeon Ah Moon is really a suitable representative of True Parents’ family.” Everyone was grateful for the gifts Yeon Ah Moon brought directly from True Mother, and for her loving presence throughout the trip.
