2020 Winter Hyojeong Culture and Arts Youth Camp Applications

The application period for the 2020 Winter Hyojeong Culture and Arts Youth Camp is now open!
This Youth Camp will be held in commemoration of True Parents’ Centenary and 60th Holy Wedding Anniversary and will take place over the course of 44 days from Saturday, December 28, 2019 to Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Hyojeong International Cultural Foundation (previously the Hyojeong Cultural Center) and the HyoJeong CheonWon Complex in Korea.
This is a great opportunity for young Unificationists ages 16 and older who are interested in the arts to connect with True Parents’ vision for a Hyojeong culture, develop their abilities based on the heart, and participate in the special performance to celebrate True Parents’ Centenary.

Criteria for Participation
- Young members with some experience or training in the area of performing arts, including singing, acting, or dancing
- Young members recommended by church leaders or the heads of providential organizations in their region or nation
- Young members who have been leading a model life of faith for at least 2 years
- Young members proficient in at least one of the following languages: Korean, Japanese or English (Only Korean, Japanese, and English interpretation will be provided)
Participation Fee
- True Parents’ special grant will cover all workshop fees
- Korean participants, however, are asked to pay 100,000 won (all fees will be used to support the travel and workshop expenses of international participants)
Major Programs
- Education in True Parents’ life courses
- Special lectures and sessions on the arts and culture of heart (vocal training, dance, acting)
- Performing in the special musical during the celebration of True Parents’ Centenary and 60th Holy Wedding Anniversary
- Participation in the 4th Hyojeong Cultural Troupe with the opportunity to network with the talented people in the arts and culture of heart
What to Prepare
- All regions: Bright color t-shirts (at least 4 including a white t-shirts), several pairs of track pants, sneakers or trainers (required), decent formal wear (for the Cheon Jung Gung pilgrimage), slippers, toiletries, writing utensils, personal medications, personal emergency (pocket) money
- For international participants: FM radio (smartphones are not permitted for this purpose), earphones (extra pair required) that can be worn while practicing, and travel insurance documents (in case of need of hospital treatment)
Administrative Matters
- Each regional group headquarters is requested to assign a person-in-charge for the upcoming Youth Camp and send us his or her contact information by November 19, 2019 (Korean time)
- Regional group headquarters should collect completed application forms and make a list of applicants and submit to IHQ by December 15, 2019 (Korean time)

Participants from overseas
- Invitation letter: For those who need a visa to Korea, should send an invitation letter request form and a passport copy to their regional headquarters
- Deadline for invitation letter request: December 6, 2019
Travel Insurance
- Taking out individual travel (medical) insurance is mandatory
Recommendation Guide of 2020 Hyojeong Culture and Art Scholarship
Purpose of Selection
By giving scholarships to the students who are talented in culture and art, we hope the students to inherit the meaning and the vision of the founder of the Hyojeong Cultural Center and the Wonmo Pyeongae Scholarship Foundation, so that they can become true owners of the peace world.
Recommendation Personnel
Type: Hyojeong Culture and Art
Target: High school student or University (College) student
Personnel: 1 from each region
Scholarship Qualification
1) Those who are expected to attend high school or college in 2020
2) A person who can get education for a year from the recommendation institution
3) Major in culture / arts
(If the student is not majoring in culture and art, please clearly state the field of the art that he/she is training)
Process
1) Submit documents: E-mail to the Office of the Hyojeong Cultural Center by 21st of December 2019 (ffwpucp@gmail.com)
2) Approval Notice: January 16, 2020
3) Certificate of Scholarship: February 4, 2020 (The exact date will be announced later)
4) Grant of Scholarship: After the certificate ceremony
Recommendation Method
1) Recommend in accordance with “Scholarship Qualifications”
2) Recommend based on the most objective standards
3) The recommended personnel shall prepare the “Documents to Submit” and send the copy to the regional HQ
4) The recommendation letter is NOT NEEDED this year.
Scholarship Provision
1) The scholarship will be sent directly to the student’s bank account
