Study Abroad in Korea
Do you want the experience of adopting a new language and culture while at the same time exploring your faith? Have you ever considered not only traveling to, but living and learning in, another country for a year? The Institute of Korean Studies for Foreign Students, at the International Blessed Children’s School in Korea, would like to invite you to apply for the General Orientation Program (GOP) class of 2015!
The GOP program is an exciting opportunity for 12-18 year-old Unificationists to immerse themselves in Korean culture and language, develop an understanding of God and True Parents, and have experiences that will last a lifetime!
GOP aspires to:
- help participants take ownership over their faith
- help participants inherit God’s Culture
- broaden and deepen participants’ understanding of God’s Will and Heart
- help the students aspire to become people who can guide and care for others
- help the students learn the Korean language early in life when they will best learn and apply it
GOP will be welcoming 20 students for the 2014-2015 school year, starting September 2014 to June 15, 2015. The application process is open from now until June 15, 2014.
All participants must:
- be a Unificationist youth
- understand the purpose of studying in Korea
- practice effective study habits and behavior
- be spiritually and physically healthy
- be able to communicate in English
