Background

Young Chul Jang was born in Youngkwang, Jeonnam in 1966. He joined the Unification Movement in 1986.

Young Chul received a bachelor degree in Computer Science from Han Yang University in Seoul, Korea in 1992. He also earned a Master degree in Religious Education from the Unification Theological Seminary in New York in 2004 and is currently attending the Doctor of Ministry Divinity program at UTS.

Between 1992-1995 Young Chul served as the CARP leader on the Han Yang University campus in Seoul, Korea.  He served as the General Director of Korean FFWPU Headquarters and the Youth federation for World Peace between 1995- 1999. In America he served as the leader of the Korean Evangelical Association in Chicago between 1999-2001 and then interned for one year at the Norfolk Family Church in 2004. For the next six years, he served as the Pastor for the Korean Evangelical Association in Washington D.C., after which, was an officer of the Bengee Fleet Inc. in Los Angeles for eight months.

From 2012 to the present, Young Chul has served as Pastor for the Korean Evangelical Association in Washington D.C. and as the director of Asian affairs for The Washington Times Foundation since  2013.

Young Chul received the Marriage Blessing with Yasuko Nomura from Oita City, Japan in 1992.  They have 3 children.
