Edner Pierre-Louis

Background

Rev. Edner Pierre-Louis, Jr. was born in Port au Prince, Haiti in March, 1956. In 1965, he migrated to the United States with his parents and younger brother and grew up in Queens, NY. 

Edner joined the Unification Movement in March, 1977 after a period of study of the Divine Principle. He participated in outreach, fundraising, and the News World/Noticias del Mundo paper distribution in midtown Manhattan and later in the Bronx which brought him to work at News World Communications in the Circulation and Delivery Department. 

Edner received the Marriage Blessing with Juanita Jackson on July 1, 1982 at Madison Square Garden. 

Edner was then drafted by National Mobil Fundraising Team (MFT) and spent the next 2 ½ years fundraising the South and South West. Upon his return, he began work at Il Hwa/Ginseng Up under Col. Sang Kil Han, where he remained until 2009. 

Edner and Juanita continued to attend the Manhattan Church and later, became Pastors for the Harlem Family Church during the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. 

Edner received a Bachelors in Business Administration after attending college in the evening amidst his busy schedule. In 2004, he then graduated with a Masters in Religious Education from the Unification Theological Seminary. 

Presently, Edner works part time with Il Hwa. He and his wife are very involved in the ACLC ministry and their local church community in Harlem. They have one son.
