Background
Jeddie Collins King was born in Kissimmee, Florida in 1934. He moved to Queens, NY in 1961. In 1975 he joined the Unification Movement and served in an IFA position for a short time in 1976. In 1977, he converted his car garage to a church and began Home Church.
In 1981, Jeddie spoke at the Rally in Foley Square. In 1983, he was ordained by the Ethiopian Orthodox Coptic Church. He served as a coordinator in the New York Family Church and as an assistance Pastor in the Queens Family Church. In 1986, he founded, and opened, the Interfaith Community Church in Queens, NY. He served in this store-front church for many years.
Jeddie has conducted missionary work in over seven countries. Around 1990, True Parents encouraged Unificationists to go back to their home and start Tribal Messiahship. In 1992, he made the move back home to Kissimmee, FL, and continued Home Church in his home. After his parents passed away, he renovated his parent’s home and started an Interfaith Community Church in Kissimmee, FL. He served as FFWPU USA City Leader for Orlando from 1996-2005. In 2007, he was appointed the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) coordinator for this area.
Jeddie participated in many Prayer Breakfasts and Pastor’s Forums from June 2007-2010. From there, he went on to work in four Radio Internet Broadcasting Ministries, and Roadside Blessings. He planted a New FFWPU church centre on April 20, 2014 in Kissimmee, FL.
Jeddie is the President of Interfaith Community Centre and Vice President of TP of TF Center Foundation. He finished his autobiography in 2014; JC, A King’s Story.
Rev. King received the Marriage Blessing to Elma Lynette, originally from Jackson, Mississippi.
