Dr. Chung Sik Yong, 63, is a native of Korea and has spent the last 12 years as a bedrock of the Unificationist movement in Asia.
Dr. Yong served as the Regional Chair for the Universal Peace Federation of Asia from May 2008 to October 2020. Before taking this responsibility, he served as the Regional Chair for UPF in Oceania for five years.
From 1990 until 2003, Dr. Yong worked in various nations throughout the world, including: Japan; the United States of America (both in Washington D.C. and New York); Puerto Rico; the Philippines; Thailand; Singapore; and Malaysia (where he lived for five years).
Dr. Yong received his Doctorate Degree in theology from Sun Moon University in Korea in 2005. In 2003, he earned a Master of Business Administration from Gwangju University, also in Korea.
In 1988 he was blessed in marriage by Father and Mother Moon to Yoshie Sasaki, from Japan, and they have three children: two sons and one daughter.
